I had this poem on my classroom door for many years. Tomorrow is the birthday of a childhood friend who died last summer at the age of 45. It’s going to be a hard day but if I think of this, it will help.
Not sure what this is about, but I’ll be here. I know we all have our wishes, needs, prayer intentions…whatever you choose to call it. But IF this is about coming together for that type of thing, may I please request Monkee-strength prayers for my daughter? She is in her first pregnancy and suffering mightily from hyperemesis. Thank you, Monkees.
I have been very stressed about an interview. It’s tomorrow at 9:00!! I am suddenly so much more at peace. I will be praying, interviewing, and then checking in with my Monkee family!

Wow. My second flash prayer mob in as many days. Last night many of us in NC prayed that we will defeat the proposed Amendment today that would try to tell many children that their families aren’t families because their parents — same sex or otherwise — are unmarried in the State’s eyes. If any of you have some extra prayers we sure could use them for our NC families.
I’ve been praying on that too, from here in Florida where we have a slightly less noxious provision in our constitution.
And if we don’t get the right outcome in NC, I bet a lot of people — especially children — will need help with ‘turning their heads’ for a peripheral miracle…..
I will definitely join you in prayer for this worthy cause!

No matter what the outcome I will be able to tell my children’s friends and families that there are many of us praying that this will be the catalyst for change and that so many of us know that a family is a family no matter who it is made up of or what other people think.
