I learned last night that there are at least two people in America who still have not seen this, and that is just not okay.

Tish and I are trying desperately to learn the dance before Thursday, which is the night we hit the clubs.

  1. G – did anyone bring snacks to that event? That's the most important question. Okay, really it's the most shallow, but it was fun to post. And I'm so fearless about being shallow, that I'm going to post with my actual blog persona!Honesty being the best policy, anything connected with that particular television personality is not on my viewscreen long. Or any television personality really. Sorry, I'm shallow. But nice. Mostly.

  2. Krystal, you said,"I don't know why I cried, but isn't it awesome to be shocked in a good way?"I would be embarrassed to tell you how many times I've watched this video. My kids and I sit in front of the computer and hit replay, replay. replay. I've blasted it each morning this week to help my son wake up for school. And every time I hear it or see it, I still get choked up. IT is SO emotional to me. Can you help me figure out why since you cried too?Is it because it's an illustration of the effect on others one person fearlessly and joyfully dancing to her own beat can have?Is it because we are so used to people being divided that the sight of a mass of people ignoring their differences and working together is so powerful? Is it because with so many other more "productive" things these people could have been doing with their time, 20 thousand people threw themselves instead into creating a piece of art for the world to see?Or Krystal, do i just REALLY NEED TO GET OUT MORE???Please advise.

  3. I hadn't seen that either… very neat!

  4. When I saw that episode of oprah I paused the tv, called in my kids and made them watch it too. I don't know why I cried, but isn't it awesome to be shocked in a good way? While you're learning that dance, try to learn the one for All the Single Ladies, too. I'm going to learn it just so I can embarrass my kids in public.

  5. I hadn't seen it….thanks for sharing!!! Today IS going to be a good day. :)Laura

  6. Ok, was it the Black Eyed Peas video? I was able to get it from you tube and that was awesome. Don't feel bad, you weren't the only one that hadn't seen it. I don't have cable anymore and I'm starting to think I'm missing out on a lot :-)

  7. I haven't either and now I'm dying to see it. I can't download it at work :-(
